| Thursday August 14th thru Monday August 18th |
| The Woodward Avenue Dream Cruise is one of the most phenomenal events an auto enthusiast can ever witness. What can only be described as the world's largest "cruise-in", the event stretches along Woodward Ave from 8 Mile Rd all the way to Pontiac.... almost 20 miles. Just like the name implies people simply cruise up and down the mostly divided blvd and as is typical of the larger events folks set up lawn chairs on the devil strip and enjoy the show. Every year folks come from all over the country to enjoy the sites and sounds of this absolutely breathtaking display of vehicles from every maker, vintage and style that you can imagine. Parking lots become mini-car shows, bands of all different styles and eras entertain the throngs. Food, memorabilia and souvenirs provided by vendors are everywhere. There really is no way that words can capture the experience. If you enjoy cars and cruises this truly is an event that you should see at least once in your life. And what better way to get there than by cruising along with the North Georgia Mopar Club. 750 miles is an ambitious cruise to say the least, but a leisurely pace with scheduled pit stops about every 150 miles breaks an otherwise daunting task down into an enjoyable trip that won't stress your Mopar or your family. We will depart from a North Atlanta site to be named later on Thursday morning and take 2 days make the trip with an overnight stay in Dayton, Ohio. As an added bonus, we will spend Friday morning strolling through the National Museum of United States Air Force at Wright-Patterson AFB. This is a fascinating facility with 100s of aircraft from every stage of development from the Wright brothers thru to modern space travel. This is an awesome museum that will surely whet your appetite for the high horsepower and sleek machines you will see on Woodward Ave. Just 3 hours from Detroit, we will then ease into town Friday evening where thousands of cars will already be prowling the streets. With the coming fuel restrictions and regulations there is no certainty that these types of events will be able to last much longer, so don't miss your chance to not only see this spectacle, but see it with your fellow Mopar nuts!
