The South Australian Government has announced the second South Australian Car Clubs Program for South Australians with a keen interest in two and four-wheeled vehicles.
The funding will help clubs to purchase essential equipment, build club rooms and more.
The program is a major undertaking, with $2 million available over four years,
and is the first dedicated grant program for car clubs in South Australia.

One of the successful clubs, the Gawler Veteran Vintage and Classic Vehicles Club,
will receive $100,000 to build a new clubroom, which will include a kitchen, workshop, parking area, library and other facilities. The club, which had not previously received funding from the program,
was highly commended for its success in raising more than 70% of the project cost.
The Adelaide Car Club, which runs a young driver program that educates young drivers to improve their driving skills, also received support and saw its club come alive.
The many car clubs that exist in South Australia
SA Mitsubishi 4WD, which is set to introduce a 4WD fun day aimed at building confidence in female members by improving their driving skills,
provides twice-yearly training by instructors to create a supportive space for female members.
There are more than 200 formal car clubs in South Australia,
and rare vehicles such as left-hand drive cars and historic vehicles exist among the 45000 registered vehicles.
